Dear friends of LUMAS,
LUMAS New York is proud to present the first ever Earth Day exhibition - celebrating the fortieth anniversary of Earth Day. The landscape portion focuses on both color and black-and-white images, featuring the work of Bernhard Edmaier and Michael Poliza, among others.
The exhibit’s second theme will feature a selection of water imagery and its subsequent documentation and representation through the camera lens by artists such as Josh von Staudach and Wolfgang Uhlig. As a counterpoint to the majestic images of land and sea, the last portion of the exhibition features the animals that inhabit these domains and considers the ways in which they are able to reflect and in turn reveal the nuances of their natural landscape.
